The Vestacare Stadium, home of Avro Football Club, is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team.

Location: The Vestacare Stadium
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Salary: Based on experience
Schedule: Flexible days and hours (to be discussed at interview)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled maintenance professional to ensure our football stadium and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. This role combines pitch care with general facility maintenance, requiring both technical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Grounds & Pitch Maintenance:
- Maintain astroturf surfaces through regular brushing and care
- Cut grass and water pitches to professional standards
- Mark pitches and prepare facilities for match days and events
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance across the stadium
General Maintenance:
- Perform repairs including basic plumbing, joinery, and painting
- Handle cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efficiently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory organisation
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests
Essential Requirements:
- Proven maintenance or handyman experience
- Strong knowledge of general repair practices
- Basic plumbing skills and tool proficiency
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Physical fitness for lifting, climbing, and extended standing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility for emergency and after-hours work
- Relevant certifications (joinery, plumbing) advantageous but not essential
