The Vestacare Stadium, home of Avro Football Club, is proud to announce that it will be hosting the Kick Out Cancer Cup on Friday, June 14th, 2024 from 3pm till late. The event, led by Electricom Group, a principal sponsor of Avro FC, will bring businesses together to unite in the fight against cancer.
Uniting Businesses, Tackling Cancer Together
The Kick Out Cancer Cup is more than just a football tournament. It’s an opportunity for businesses to come together and make a real difference in the battle against cancer. All proceeds from the event will go towards Cancer Research UK & Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, supporting individuals like Christy in their fight against this terrible disease.
Christy’s Fight
Christy, a father of three and grandfather of four, has recently received a devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. As a passionate football enthusiast, Christy envisions this tournament as an opportunity to create joyful moments and lasting memories for all who participate, while also raising vital funds for cancer research.
Tournament Details
The Kick Out Cancer Cup Tournament promises competitive action and fun for all. Each team will consist of 10 players (7 aside – 3 subs). Get your teams ready and join us on the pitch!
After the tournament, stick around for an awards ceremony hosted by professional footballers. Prizes will be given for Man Of The Match, Goal Of The Tournament and Golden Glove.
